There is anecdotal evidence that the banning of traditional ammunition would have an adverse impact on government bureaucrat populations. - Tam

Happy New Year!
I know this is a day late, but I want to wish both of my regular readers out there a happy new year.
It's going to be a hell of a ride.

Trolls
I suppose that some people are jealous in that I write a blog. Granted, I'm not by ANY stretch of the imagination a great writer. As I've stated before, my blog is my personal publishing point. I allow comments on most every post I put up, but like an editor at the newspaper, I get to pick and choose what gets posted for the public to see. Your right to free speech ends where my blog begins. If you wish to libel me, then write your own damn blog. Trolls will not be tolerated.

Blogroll Additions and Site Changes
First off, let me welcome Crip Chronicles, written by Chris. Chris, like myself, thinks that running around in the woods chasing rally cars is a fine way to spend a weekend. Go check out his blog. Did I mention we share a liking for Subaru Outback Sports? With the exception of our choice of transmission, our cars are virtually identical. Welcome Chris.
Next, I've taken the jump into cashing in on the internet. You'll probably notice The Ready Store ove on the right hand side about midway down. They offer a variety of preparedness items that are reasonably priced. Please, click on the link and check them out.
Finally, I added a new widget for the Examiner.com writers. It should update as each one posts new articles. I miss a lot of fine writing and maybe now you & I both can read these folks who have a passion for defending our 2nd amendment rights.
Again, I run a reciprocal blogroll here at Top of the Chain. Please e-mail me if you wish to be added to the mix.

Blogroll additions
Three new blogs have been added to the blogroll here at Top of the Chain. The first is Quizzical Pussy. The site is very adult oriented, and explores one person's view of sex.
Next is Leadchucker. He's right in my wheelhouse. A good solid 2nd Amendment blog.
Third is Jigsaw's Thoughts. The lady who writes this blog hails from Perth, Western Australia. Did I get that right? Unlike here in the states where the right to keep and bear arms is an enumerated right, Australian law accords the privilege of firearms ownership. That's a tough row to plow but, she is actively recruiting new shooters all the time.
Welcome everyone.

Blogroll additions
So I'm checking my Top of the Chain e-mail account and I do check the spam box for errant 'real' mail that gets misdirected from time to time. The sender had a .org email address and I googled the .org to find out where it came from. It was legit so I went ahead and opened up the e-mail. It was a very nice note from Hell On Earth.
HOE likes his guns, purdy womenfolk and 69-72 Chevy trucks. A winner in my book. Oh yeah, he's formerly one of Uncle Sam's Misguided Children. What is it with Marines & me. I know or are acquainted with a disproportionately high number of them. Just kidding Welcome to the TotC blogroll.
Next up is Just Another Missouri Rebel. He's a fellow co-conspirator at the GBC. He lives close to this. I help organize the event and look forward to meeting him in person fairly soon.
As always, my blog policy is that if you don't see your blog in my blogroll, please let me know. I do reciprocate. I enjoy feedback, so let me know you're out there and what you think.

Friday Fun Track
Ernest Thing pointed the way this time. It's NITRO and while they didn't have the commercial appeal of a Bon Jovi, Jim Gillette could literally shatter crystal glasses with his voice.
If I could find copies of their albums, I would own them again in a heartbeat.

Don't crap where you eat
Breda has decided that a certain troll is just not worth it anymore. When people publish a blog it is for their enjoyment and satisfaction. I am like the editor of a newspaper. I do allow comments on my site. I do ask that yoou have a registered account and questionable content is routinely deleted from the comments section. My generosity is not endless, don't abuse it. Play nice with my toys and I'll share with you. Break or abuse them and I'll kick you to the curb.

Random Wednesday thoughts
Why should I have the right to carry a gun?
Because a 2 1/2 ton Ford Crown Vic Police Interceptor is a might heavy to carry on my hip
.44 Remington Magnum is a fun caliber to reload.
9mm, after reloading .44 is a pain in the ass to reload.
The Brady Bunch can go find a tall cliff to jump off of and take their bigoted agenda with them.
Josh Sugarmann and the VPC needs to join the Brady Bunch at said cliff
Reasonable 'gun control' is me putting 16 of 16 rounds in my magazine inside the paper circle at 25 yards.
We need to hit the reset button when it comes to the Congresscritters come fall 2010.
Wirecutter at Knuckledragger posts funny stuff, NSFW, but funny stuff.
JayG better get well real soon. He was missed yesterday. I hope you feel better real soon.
There's more stuff rattling around inside my head, but it's early and I have to head to work.

blogroll additions
I'd like to welcome Nonsensical Multi Syllobic Words to the blogroll. A chex mix of survival skills, economics and snark make for interesting reading.
Lokidude of Redneck Command is another blog that comes from the Gunblogger Conspiracy. If for no other reason than the AWESOME poster at the top of the home page, you should be reading this blog.
Tractor Tracks, written by Farmgirl. She blogs about whatever is on her mind and doesn't take any crap.
And finally the gunblogger conspiracy. A blog about an IRC channel about blogs about guns. Warning; much adult content here. But, if you want to see where the gunbloggers go to let their hair down, this is the place.
If I am missing you from my blog, send me the URL and a brief description.

Where are my wheelbarrows full of cash and fat swag
Any manufacturers that wish to send me guns and gear to evaluate, I'm more than happy to do so. And to the FTC, stay out of my business you jackbooted anti capitalism thugs.
I own two CZ products and are my pistol of choice
My rifle is a Ruger 10/22. The finest mass produced .22 lr gun ever made.
I own a Lee Reloading Press and while widely acknowledged as somewhat less than RCBS or Hornady equipment, is more than enough for me at this point.
To you FTC, I call BULLSHIT! on your heavy handedness. GO take a long walk off a short pier.

Blog roll additions
So I've found more people whose blog I enjoy reading.
JayG at MArooned is surviving in the Peoples Republic of Taxachussetts. Jay is an absolutely wonderfully crazy gun nut.
Snarky at Straight from the Snark's Mouth is a young lady surviving college where with the proper permissions can shoot a gun on campus. She'll also wow you with her sexy boots.
Lucrative Pain hails from Las Vegas. She's a licensed massage therapist. Sorry fellas, happy endings are not part of her repertoire.
If you don't find yourself on the blogroll and would like to be added, please be sure to shoot me an e-mail at the address listed on the right hand side.

She is a shooter
For every average blog out there (mine included) you have one that just gets it Brigid is one of those rare people who can really move you with her essays. A sample;
"For I am a shooter, the outdoor ranges and the fields of my world where I am most at home." - Brigid from this post
Go read it, and then if you liked it, leave a note telling her so. She's also, one heck of a cook and her recipes are enough to make your mouth water.

Blogroll additions
I've been remiss in not formally announcing these blogroll additions.
My newest addition is Gun Geek Rants. He walks where hoplophobes fear to tread. Guns and airplanes are two of my favorite subjects.
On the subject of zombies, the first is Zombaritaville. Popular songs with zombie related lyrics. It's a good chuckle. If you know anything about Zombies, they'll freeze in extreme cold. This poses a unique challenge for folks in the southern states. In Texas, KTZF should have a target rich environment.
New Jovian Thunderbolt is another blogger you should check out. He's ready to defend against both mindless communist and zombie hordes. God help us if we have to defend against communist zombie hordes though.
Local to St. Louis is The Dana Show Dana has the coolest bumper music and is a major part of the St. Louis Tea Party.
