Police worried about being shot at.

Police across the country have faced a number of deadly violent incidents in the last week. They are worried that the po po is a target after so many instances of cops being shot at.

Richard Roberts, a spokesman for the International Union of Police Associations had this bit of useful insight into the situation -

"We don't have any data, but there seems to be a type of criminal out there looking to thwart authority," he told the station.

Choosing a career path that puts you on the opposite side of the law is thwarting authority. That is a flash of brilliance right there Richard, worthy of Sherlock Holmes.

Um... DOH! :-) As more forces get cut, more criminals will figure they can do what they want...
