Myself: Newsflash!! Michael Jackson is dead
NB: What about zombie Michael Jackson?
Me: Ballistic Deanimation
There is anecdotal evidence that the banning of traditional ammunition would have an adverse impact on government bureaucrat populations. - Tam

We have the 1st amendment because of the 2nd
I know, I know, the second amendment has nothing to do in keeping a standing military, but bear with me here. They are called the armed forces. They do bear arms. My reasoning is probably weaker than wet toilet paper. Tell me where I'm wrong and I'll eat crow. For someone in the military to suggest that protest is low level terrorism is disconcerting. I hope this is only some well intentioned but misinformed individual who though they were doing right.
Me, Rock, Bottom of, domicile
Yeah,
I've been living under a rock now for awhile. The Gun Rights Policy Conference will be in my neck of the woods in late September. A BIG H/T to Joe I will be attending this, as my last time in owning a firearm was more about destroying evil circles on paper. I didn't give much thought to what allowed me to do own a firearm. Now, as I've gotten older and really started paying attention to the culture & politics in our country, I feel the need to be active. If you're planning on attending, don't forget to sample 'The Hill' which has some of the finest Italian cuisine in the country.

Where is the dissent? I smell BS
On 24 June 2009, ABC will devote an entire hour to presenting the Obama administrations plans for nationalized healthcare. Also, Charlie Gibson, ABC World News Tonight anchor will broadcast from the White House blue room. There will be no conservative rebuttal, though not for a lack of Republicans making their feelings known to ABC news. In response to the RNC's request for equal time to state their case, ABC News Senior Vice President Kerry Smith had this to say; "ABCNEWS alone will select those who will be in the audience asking questions of the president. Like any programs we broadcast, ABC News will have complete editorial control. To suggest otherwise is quite unfair to both our journalists and our audience." I call Bullshit on the whole sordid mess. I know journalistic integrity flew out the press plane's door when BO got serious last year. I never thought that the tank was quite this deep.

Speaking of reloading
Home on the range has an excellent beginner's article on reloading. It can be found here.
My Second Amendment Saturday
Started out by going to the local reloader store to see about setting me up with a single stage press. (I sure didn't pick a cheap pastime.)
Gun show with some gun porn (sorry no pics, camera's weren't allowed)
There's a saying in amateur radio is that a hamfest is where junk exchanges basements. I am gonna paraphrase that and say that a gun show is where safe queens exchange gun safes. I did find some ammunition in .380 that I didn't have to sign over my life savings for though, so not all bad. Oh and the lovely handstitched leather holster that fits my Thunder lika Gulove.
The best part of the day. Time at the range. It was zenlike. Me, my Bersa, the target. my surprise every time the sear tripped. Ahhhh.... Life is indeed good.

So, does that make Maureen Dowd a red headed slut?
Letterman's not an apology, apology At the very least, the writer who wrote the joke should be smacked down hard. Either a) for laziness in not checking which daughter Sarah Palin had in tow, or b) for writing as joke about knocking up an underage girl.

Team America World Police Frak Yeah!!
BO, TOTUS in Chief just doesn't get it. These people wish to visit violence upon you, your family and your way of life. They are combatant, an enemy combatant, not a criminal. Apparently, BO doesn't think so.

And you thought the $0.10 a day fine was bad
The library of Congress wants to ban guns from their agents. The agents do investigative work in reference to stolen materials and such. Occasionally they do have to retrieve rare stolen reference material, serve warrants and such. And you thought Breda was the only gun toting librarian

My, but some people have a pair that defies description. Apparently, David Carradine's death was due to Ninjas (H/T to Stingray)

I know a lot of libertarians are neutral or are pro-choice on the issue of abortion. Myself, I don't have a dog in this fight. I can't and don't condone murder. I just don't feel all that bad that this happened though. Why, I think babies are cute and special and full of promise. Even if eventually they turn out to be some goblin or moonbat.
