Riding on the coattails of a mitigatable tragedy

Colin Goddard, a victim of the VA Tech murderer, Seung-Hui Cho, is pimping for The Brady Bunch. In a video for the Brady Bunch, he recounts his ordeal, and it is truly a harrowing ordeal.

That is fine, Mr Goddard and others should have our sympathy. But what Colin Goddard wants is to link Seung-Hui Cho with the so called 'gun show loophole' whereby a person can through a private sale, obtain a gun without filling out a form 4473 and having their background checked.

Police did find that Cho had a receipt for one of the pistols and waited the Virginia state required one month before purchasing his second pistol.

According to a CBS News report, the Glock 19 pistol was purchased at Roanoke Firearms where at the time, the murderer, Cho, met all requirements in purchasing the weapon.

He did not transact a private sale orbuy from a private seller at a gun show. For Colin Goddard to use his experience to further an agenda where the circumstances don't quite fit, is dishonest.
According to Federal Crime Bureau statistics, less than 1% of guns that are used to commit crimes originated at a gun show.

Mr Goddard is a bigot. And, the Virginia Tech university is a bigoted institution for not allowing law abiding citizens the right to keep and bear arms, and thereby defend themselves against aggression of this kind.
