Gaia - the original MILF or TotC's follow up to the Audi commercial

Commenter Taupe of the Chain chided the other commenters for being such 'bad asses' I replied, but I am going to repost it here and add some evidence that while it is not yet here in the US, it has come to the (formerly) Great Brittain. It is making it's way here.

It is part of the culture war. it has nothing to do with gun rights. It has everything to do with incandescent light bulbs being outlawed. It is someone being given a choice of paper or plastic and then being arrested for that choice. And there is a whole world of difference between legitimate commerce of a magazine salesman and some government authority telling me how to live my life and then arresting me if I don't comply. Do you like you electricity? Well, Barack Obama has publicly stated he wants to break the backs of the coal companies. A good portion, of the electricity you and I use comes from a coal burning power plant. Your truck, according to that commercial, would make you a criminal. Don't think for one minute that some watermelon wasn't creaming in his britches over the fantasy of that commercial. The green movement in this country would have you, me and everyone else living in the dark ages. Driving hybrid cars, not eating meat, etc. I could go o. Open your eyes man.

I found in the comments over at TSM from reader and commenter Phil B some links pointing out the UK's version of the green police

Remember that BO wants to create a national police force just as strong as the military, just as well equipped. He also wants (knee)cap and trade. Don't think that he wouldn't use said police force to enforce such things? Think again. As for me, I gotta go find me a Gaia MILF

Remember:

If it is said in a blog, it must be the truth.

Well, since Taupe seems to doubt that what I put in the post is true, here's Obama advocating that national civilian security force

and Obama on Cap and Trade

If you are trying to convince me that Obama is an idiot I did not need convincing.

I SERIOUSLY doubt that any of those are going to happen. Obama is having a hard enough time with his health care bill. In 2012 he will be out of office and people will have a new President to complain about.

As far as recycling, our nation's resources are not unlimited. It probably won't happen in our lifetime, but I can see drastic changes in our nation's resources. It would be short sighted of us to just put this on the next generation.

I do believe that we as a country should become more energy self sufficient. I don't propose a Green Police like some others, but tax incentives for doing things in a more energy efficient way(homes, cars, etc.). This way it is the person's choice and not forced on them.

But then who pays for that tax incentive? An increased deficit, and that means the very next generation you wish to avoid with problems would bear the brunt of buy it now consumerism.

Then Mr. All Knowing, what is the solution? Since you have a blog give us your enlightenment.

It is very easy to find problems, fixing them is another matter.

I know that you believe our resourced are unlimited, but they are not. So when the resources run low or out what do we do next? Please enlighten us.

My solution is to pretty much eliminate welfare and entitlements, but that will never come about. Use that money to improve the country.

When have I ever stated that our resources were unlimited? No, I don't know, and neither does anyone else. But to say that our resources are limited, please show me proof.
