We're the government and we're here to help

Whether you believe in God, a god, or the flying spaghetti monster one of our country's greatest freedoms is the one that says we get to choose who or what we worship, if any at all. However, when you as a parent make a decision about your child's healthcare and publicly state your conviction on religious grounds, the state, in all it's well intentioned glory says, nope. We are going to force you to care for your child, against your religious beliefs.
